Faith

The following is a confession of faith, slightly adapted from the Apostle’s Creed. It is a “snapshot”, if you will, of the things that I believe as a follower of Christ.

We believe in God the Father Almighty,

   Maker of heaven and earth,

   in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,

   and in the Holy Spirit, our Helper and Guide.

We believe Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

   born of the virgin Mary,

   suffered under Pontius Pilate,

   was crucified, dead, and buried;

The third day He arose again from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,

   and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

   from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Church, Christ’s holy bride,

   the communion of saints;

   the forgiveness of sins;

   the resurrection of the body;

   and the life everlasting.

Amen.
