a December weekend

We had such a nice weekend.

It was filled with friends, time spent outdoors, a little space for reading, yummy and warm things to eat, sweet family moments…all those nourishing things a soul needs! And all that on the heels of a fun Thursday night out with the kids and my dad visiting Journey to Judea, a walk-thru live nativity/play at my parents’ church. It was a really special evening that I hope will bear spiritual fruit in my children’s lives (and mine!).

I wish I had taken more photos this weekend…there were so many special moments…but sometimes I get a little sick of ‘capturing’ moments instead of being right in the middle of them…;-) Friday we enjoyed the kind hospitality of some local friends and fantastic homemade pizza! Saturday was a big full day of fun outings and we also got some projects knocked out that had been begging attention on the home-front. That evening we got to have dinner with some dear out-of-town friends and meet their teeny-tiny, precious newly-adopted baby girl. On Sunday we spent our Sabbath at home, fighting off illness and savoring some rest and family time…<3

Here are some picture-memories from a sweet December weekend!

Thank you, Lord for refreshing us in YOU, through Your Word, Your people and creation. ❤

P.S. If you find yourself home from church due to icy roads or illness, maybe you would enjoy and be challenged by this sermon from Pastor Mark at Mars Hill? We were so blessed.
