Kaya’s New Dress!

Well one summer to-do can be crossed off the list!

I have dusted off the sewing machine and actually completed a project. Make that two. A pillowcase dress for Kaya, and one for her little cousin Annika…it was very simple and really would only take a couple of hours if you knew what you were doing (which I really didn’t! lol). They turned out pretty cute, but next time I would make them longer. Kaya modeled hers for me this afternoon! The dress should probably be tied a little looser/less bunchy, but you get the idea!

Please excuse the wrinkliness! ๐Ÿ™‚

Wouldn’t this top look great paired with little leggings? ๐Ÿ™‚

I really just can’t believe I finished a sewing project. This is insanity. In a happy way.

{I bought the pattern for $3.00 hereย and watching this videoย several times helped as well.}

I am excited to possibly make this for our little boy on the way (once we determine for sure what his name will be!)…we’ll see! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Looks GREAT, you should feel proud mama! I know how those sewing projects go when you don’t really know what your doing it’s so easy to get discouraged/frustrated, but this looks amazing.

  2. Um hello- you sooo need to make one for all the little girls in the nursery ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t sew nothing but a button.
